The Old Mill

We decided to head to the Old Mill Sunday morning for Brunch. We got a gift Certificate for Christmas we had been waiting until some nice weather to use so my son could feed the ducks while we were there.

Appearance: The Old Mill is a beautiful place, with the water fall outside, and the ducks, the stone building with the covered bridges to walk across. The quint little gift shop to walk through. The inside is nicely detailed woodwork.

Food: They do have Lunch and dinner menu's but we chose Sunday Brunch. They had a small but good selection of foods. For Breakfast type foods they had Scrambled eggs, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast, Blueberry Stuffed Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Home Fries, Fruit, and Stick Buns. My favorites were the blue berry stuffed pancakes, and the sticky buns. For Lunch Type foods, they had Pasta with Vegetables, Chicken Parm, Corn Fritters, Steak Tips, Mashed Potatoes, mixed Vegetables, seafood Casserole, and a carving station with Ham and Roast Beef. My favorites were the Roast Beef, and the corn fritters. Then there was dessert, Brownies, Cookies, cakes, cheesecake, pudding, strawberry shortcake, and hot apple crisp. The apple crisp was to die for.

Value: I thought a bit pricey, but the food was very good, and the selection was great. the price was 17.99 per adult, and my son was 5.99. I left the $50 gift cert, and it covered the tip too.

Service: For a buffet, I would say the service was great. They quickly removed dirty plates form the table, and kept our coffee's hot and full. The staff at the buffet was very friendly and would explain what things were as they were not labeled.

I loved Brunch, and then my son enjoyed feeding the ducks with the day old rolls provided to you by the restaurant to feed the ducks. We walked the gift shop, took some pictures of the ducks and water and were on our way, Happy and full.
