Mezcal Tequila Cantina

Last Friday night My Wife and I got baby sitter, and headed out for dinner. We decided on Mezcal as we have really been anting to try it out. I have heard rave reviews from people about Mezcal.

Appearance: Set on Shrewsbury St, they have outside dinning which was all full, but we got a table in the crowded but nice dinning area. They have a small but fun looking bar, and all the tables have bowls of fresh Avocado's on them, that they bring to the Guacamole Bar to make fresh Guacamole in front of you.

Food: A little pricey for Mexican food, but worth it for the Authentic food. We decided on doing just Appetizers this time, and ordered the Nachos, the Steak Quesadilla's, and 3 Chicken Tacos with a side of Guacamole. The Nachos (tomato glazed ground beef, jalapeno, toasted corn, roasted pepper & onion, shaved lettuce, house salsa, jack cheese, habanero tomatillo oil)were the best I have ever had, the Steak Quesadilla's (marinated sun dried tomato, black olives, roasted zucchini, pepper jack cheese, cilantro crema) were excellent, and the Chicken Tacos had fresh pineapple & orange, green chili tomatillo sauce. My wife had a soda, and I decided to have a Sangria Margarita which was to die for. We ended it all with Churros served with a chocolate dipping sauce. Amazing!!!! I am interested in the Guacamole Sampler and the Shredded BBQ Duck quesadilla's next time around.

Value: As I said, a little pricey. Our dinner came to around $60, but it was defiantly worth it. Lots of different items on the menu, including over 150 different kinds of Tequila.

Service: Our Service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant, and knowledgeable.

Defiantly a place to try again. Also owned by the same people that own Block 5 Bistro, and Bocado in Worcester. I would recommend any of the 3 restaurants just based on this dinning experience alone.
