Last Friday a few co-workers and myself went out for lunch at Il-Forno's in Westboro for a pre Birthday celebration.

Appearance: Il-Forno is located in the Stop and Shop Shopping Center on Lyman St in Westboro. You walk into the take out area that looks like a pizza joint, but are pleasantly surprised when you are seated in the classy dinning area.

Food: You are started off with freshly baked Garlic Bread which did take a few minutes as were got there when they first opened. Kevin started off with a garden salad, and Joe with the Clam Chowder. The Chowder was just OK. For the main course Kevin chose the Chicken Picatta, which he said was very good, and there were plenty of Capers. Jason ordered the Steak Tip Panini off the daily specials, and seemed to enjoy it. Joe decided to get the Grilled Chicken and Eggplant on a Spinach Wrap, and to Quote him "It was awesome". I went with the Beef tips in a Marsala sauce, over Butternut squash ravioli off the daily specials. I must say this was unbelievably good. My only criticism was there was not enough ravioli's.

Value: I thought the lunch prices were very reasonable. Most Lunch things were under $10. our bill came to about $45 for lunch.

Service: The service we received was excellent. Very Personable!!

I would suggest if you try Il-Forno for Lunch or Dinner some time at any one of there 4 locations, Westboro, Acton, Fitchburg and newly opened in Worcester.
